Jeni's Gifts From Laura

Oh my lands were my chicks excited to answer the door this afternoon when the mailman knocked on our door. We all danced around like it was Christmas. I was super excited to see the box was mailed from Ft. Worth, Texas, one of my favorite places! Laura, I hope you've shopped at Sam Moon in Dallas.

Well as you can see from the pictures, Laura is a very talented and supremely thoughtful gift giver! My pictures do not capture the color and quality of the paper that Laura used to describe my gifts.

My first gift is a foot warmer. (F) The picture does not do it justice. The bag is made out of this beautiful cream colored fabric and it has the most delicious scent!

My second gift is an beautiful pair of earrings for adornment. (A) As you can see from the picture, these earrings are in a warm hue of eggplant and crystal. Simply exquisite!

My third gift is also scented for a luxurious lather. (L) I wish you could smell the wonderful French milled sage soap through this blog.

My last gift is probably my favorite! Laura must have spent hours crafting this amazingly detailed letter banner. (L) I have admired these banners on many a blog and wished I could have my very own. Well now I do! I just wish I had a mantle to hang it on, but alas, we do not have fireplaces in south Florida! I do have it proudly hanging across my china cabinet.

Thank you Laura for putting so much time and thought into these gifts. I know everyone is going to be so jealous!

LOVE LOVE LOVE that foot warmer! We call them bed buddies at our house. Two of my children heat them up every night and put them in bed with them to snuggle with. They are great too for headaches!

And the banner--I totally know what you mean with no fireplaces in SFL, but it will look great across your china cabinet like you said.

Great JOB Laura--you did GREAT!

Hey girls....Miss Laura MADE those earrings! Eeeek! I have (a-hem) several bracelets made by her! She does bea-U-ti-ful work! Love the colors of that banner!

Yay for Laura's first SWAP! Good job! (Oh how I miss you in California!) But, I guess Dave Ramsey and his 'envelope system' needs your husband there in Ft. Worth, so....MY loss in Redding, California!

Happy Fall Jeni!

LOL - I had to call it a foot warmer to go with the letter "f". I've always loved them myself, and I scented Jeni's with cinnamon and clove. I hadn't done much jewelry making in a while, but doing so reminded me just how much I love me some BLING! There is a BIG Sam Moon 5 minutes from my house in Keller, so I haven't ventured over to shop in the Dallas store yet. I'm glad you enjoyed the banner and that it found a home on your china cabinet ;-) I had great fun doing this swap!

Laura, did you make not only the earrings, but the banner and foot warmer? By the way, can someone fill me in on what a foot warmer is and how it works? Do you plug it in and stick your feet inside? I haven't heard of it previously. Love all the items that you gave to dear Jeni. Happy Fall and so glad you opted to be part of the Fall Swap.

Good job, Laura!! Those are all great gifts. I love the banner, too.

Yes, Denise's kids are obsessed with their bed buddies!! They are great to use when you have a headache.

Yes, I made everything but the soap. A "foot" warmer is just a homemade rice-filled heating pad. I added a few cloves and some crumbled cinnamon sticks for a fun scent. You just place it in the microwave for a couple of minutes and you have a convenient moldable heating pad to warm yourself. I added a washable damask pillow case to keep it looking pretty longer. I've made pocket size ones too-- great little hand warmers for the kiddos while they wait for the bus on a cold morning. Apparently they make great ammo for pelting the siblings, as my sons demonstrated for me!

Laura, I am going to have to learn how to make those heating pads. What a great gift idea. Thank you for answering my question :)
